Maison Francis Kurkdjian Oud Satin Mood My signature winter scent. It’s supposed to be a mix of oud and rose, with a vanilla drydown, but it seems pretty oud-heavy to me. It’s a little dense, which is why I prefer it for winter. Genuinely intoxicating.
Dior — Miss Dior It’s elegant, light, floral, sweet, with a creamy drydown. It smells like spring from a better timeline. Maybe someday.
Maison Francis Kurkdjian Gentle Fluidity Gold The corresponding summer scent. What I love about Minnesota summers is that period at the beginning, before it gets too hot, where you can leave the windows open 24 hours a day. This perfume smells like that. It’s a vanilla / amber / musk with a nutmeg note in the middle. Supposedly it contains juniper, but I don’t smell it.
Carolina Herrera Good Girl It’s really funny to try and say this with a straight face when somebody asks what perfume I’m wearing.
Fine’ry Not Another Cherry I want to love this. I really do. It smells a little cloying, a little artificial, a little something. Not sure how it misses the mark. I think it’s more of an autumn perfume, or even winter, as it’s a bit heavy. I think part of why I don’t love this is because I first tried wearing it during summer and it about choked me while I was on a bike ride.
Fine’ry Midnight Cafe A dupe of YSL Black Opium. It’s pretty good, a decent substitute for the real thing, but not as good. A bit Good Girl-y too, come to think of it.
Fine’ry Before the Rainbow A dupe of Jo Malone Wood Sage + Sea Salt, I think. Reminds me of my ex. It’s a nice fresh scent but terrible scent memories lol
